Labor Day Weekend

I cannot believe it is September!  I always feel like I need to do a ton of fun things over Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend to welcome summer and then make sure it knows I'm going to miss it.  So this last weekend was no exception!  We watched some football, ate donuts, slept out back in the tent, went to the Soldier Hollow Classic (Sheepdog trials), and went boating.  Phew!  It was jam-packed but so much fun!  The Soldier Hollow Classic is always a favorite of mine for Labor Day weekend.  If it wasn't so dang hot I could spend all weekend there.  So this year just Derek and I took all of the kids.  We sure got some funny looks!  We watched some sheep herding and then walked around and caught some of the police dog demo.  We saw some of the Wild Animal show.  As soon as they brought out the snake all of our kids totally tensed up...except Miss Addy!  She wanted to touch it so badly!  Then we caught some of the splash dogs action and then saw the sled dogs take off.  I have always loved Huskies but to see them in action was such a treat!  The dogs that didn't get to go "work" just howled.  It was such a cool sound!  We watched some more herding then hit the road.  Then on Monday we headed up to the "Creek" for some boating fun!  I sure do love that lake!  We got there a little late to get real good water so we only wakeboarded a little bit.  We did some swimming and then some crazy tubing and had such a blast! Gabe kept saying Daddy's tube run was "really cool!"  Gabe is getting braver in the water and I think Addy is going to be my water baby.  She couldn't seem to get enough!
So now it's Tuesday and back to the grind!  Jerry went back to work and Miss Gabe started pre-school!

 All in a row!
 Done and done!
Jerry and Dane about to take a wild tube ride.
