For those that know Anje left the water on in the master bath so we've been dealing with insurance claims and repairs. Since everything is tore up we decided to make some upgrades at the same time. New carpet and repair in the master bath has led to all new carpet in every room upstairs, new bath vanities in bot bathrooms, new flooring in the baths, new paint in both baths, new light fixtures, new sinks and cabinets. Whew. Almost done. Next week is the final room carpeting.
I had to go up to Gateway one day last week and so I rode TRAX and took Gabe with me. I thought it might be fun for her to ride the "train" and see the water fountains up there. She did like the ride up! Here she is on the way home. - Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone
We had some fun up AF Canyon this weekend. We camped near Silver Lake in a beautiful spot nestled in the trees and tucked away from passing vehicles. The food and company were great and we wondered why we don't go camping more often. We are so close to such amazing natural beauty. Gabe did great! I'm not sure if it was because she didn't feel 100% or if she was mesmerized by the fire, probably both, but she was great to snuggle on my lap for a lot of the time. And Jerry was, as always, superdad and excellent mountain man.
Here's Jer snuggling with Gabe by the fire in the morning.
Here is Gabe with her cousins who she absolutely loves, Anistyn and Ryder,
Ryder with a dirty face.
And here is Gabe, yet again pretending to talk on the phone during the drive up the canyon.
When Gabe starts singing she gets this little head shake and shoulder shrug. IMO, it's the cutest thing ever. I tried to capture the "cute" but only got a few seconds before she got camera shy and turned away.
